So yea...that's where I'll be leaving for and SOON... in about 1 months time... I'll be going to UTAS to study a double degree, BUSINESS/LAW. It's a 5 year course...yea.. FIVE YEARS!!!!!...which is a freakin' long time! I'll officially finish my studies on the 31st of Dec 2011,by then I'll be 23 years old.
People ask... WHY TASMANIA!!!!??? It's so "ulu" and "not happening"... That's true... If you compare to the nearest big city-Melbourne, which is like one of the largest cities in Australia. Well...
(1) I got a partial scholarship to go there, a 25% scholarship to be exact;
(2) It's the cheapest and most affordable uni in Aus;
(3) Tasmania's living cost is so much lower than all the major Australian cities; and
(4) I think Tasmania would be a condusive place to study as it does not offer the "big city" kind of life, which can be of a distraction (espeacially to students).. plus I heard Tasmania is a very natural and beautiful place... :-)
Goodness...how time just 'swooshes' by. It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out that things will definitely be EXTREMELY different by the time I finish my studies... It's scary AND exciting!!! Scary? Because I'll practically be living on my own and taking care of myself, being independant and all... Exciting? It'll be like starting a whole new life there...meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, tasting new FOOD!!! haha...
Being the nostalgic person I am, I'll definitely miss my family and friends back here in Penang. Actually...that would be an understatement... How I wish I can just go and give every close friend of mine a big hug and tell them how much I appreciate each and every one of them... you'll never know how much your friends mean to you when a time comes when you have to leave them for some time...not seeing them, not hearing their voices, not knowing how they're really doing, and not being able to be there for them when they need it the most... *sigh*... you get what I mean...
So anyways, I'll have to use this one month's time to the fullest, to settle all I need to do: getting my visa etc., shop for stuff, get packing... and most of all.. spending the little time that I have with my family and friends. :-)
God bless...
