A new chapter of my life began...when I left a small lil' island called HOME to a much bigger island called TASMANIA... but, life is still going to be as blessed or even MORE BLESSED and CRAZY because God is watching out for me. :-) SO here's a testament to that!...

What's been poppin' ?

Not Mary Poppins of course... *everyone goes "gosh...lame..."*

Anyway, I figured I better give an update on things here. So many interesting things happened in the past one/two weeks. So, here's a gist of everything that's worth a shout.

My CF here had a musical production, titled 'Jack' which happened on the 21st and 22nd of September in conjunction with E-Night(evangelism night). We have been practising for this for the past 2 months or so. And as musical goes, we had lots of acting, singing and dancing. Being the choir/singing enthusiast I am, I VOLUNTEERED to lead the choir and be in charge of all the singing performances. I took a step further by joining the dance team (I am not as spastic as you may think I am ;-) ). Anyway, I won't elaborate on the details. For the first night, we only had about 50 or so who came to watch the presentation. On the second night though, we had 3 times that number who came! Besides the presentation, we had a speaker to come give the Word for about 20 minutes. At the end of everything, 3 people gave/recommitted their lives to God! :-) So, all in all, it was great fun albeit tiring. It reminded me a little of Star of Persia. ;-)

Have you ever wondered why Tasmania is world renowned for its natural beauty? Have you ever wanted to lie on white sandy beaches with crystal clear waters with the blue sky as a backdrop? I did just that when Ian Chee Yi En, a.k.a pitch perfect guy came down from Sydney to Tasmania for a 6 day visit. Being the good and gracious host that I am ;-) , I showed him around (not to mention letting him sleep in my bed while I bunk in with my other friend). We went around Hobart and the East Coast of Tassie, visiting everything from Australia's best open air market, Salamanca Market to one of the top ten beaches in the world, Wineglass Bay. I borrowed a friend's car to drive. And, I kid you not the scenery along the East Coast is sooooooo beautiful that it is almost a crime not to stop and admire the beauty and splendour! It's so hard to keep your eyes on the road with all that beautiful scenery. From the picturesque countryside to the long stretches of breath-taking coastline, I saw it all...Here are some of pictures I took. I can't possibly upload all the pictures and elaborate on everything. So, ask to see more of them when you see me! ;-)

There were quite alot interesting things that happened as well during the trip, including many "firsts". It was the first time I drove since I left Penang, the first time we became the culprits of roadkill(a rabbit ran into the side of the tyre of my car) and...the first time I committed a speeding offence big time! I was driving on the Tasman Bridge on the way home. I was almost off the bridge when I realised that everyone else was driving slower than me(which does not happen very often), then it hit me! The speed limit on the bridge was 70km/h while I was driving at about 90km/h!!! There are speed cameras fixed all over the bridge!!! I MUCKED UP REAL BAD THIS TIME!!! Someone PLEASE tell me that the speed cams could have been unoperational at that time. But, I don't reckon that will happen. So, right now I'm just waiting for the speed ticket. Of all places, why must it happen here in Australia where I have to pay 3 times more because of the exchange rate. HAIHHHH.. So, yea...A sad ending to an otherwise perfect day.
