A new chapter of my life began...when I left a small lil' island called HOME to a much bigger island called TASMANIA... but, life is still going to be as blessed or even MORE BLESSED and CRAZY because God is watching out for me. :-) SO here's a testament to that!...

The Winter that was not bitter - Part 2

And just when you think that my holidays could not have gone any better, I'm here to disappoint you. :P

Ok, enough bollocks about all the countryside and natural stuff that is Tassie. On to the big city!

I went to Sydney for the Hillsong Conference from the 7th-11th of July. The conference? Ugh-ma-zing! Imagine 20000 people crammed into a stadium all singing in one voice with awesome worship leaders like Darlene Czech, Michael Grungor and Israel Houghton. It was hair-raising! Imagine the best speakers in the world coming together and sharing the Word. You'd be crazy not to catch a new revelation after listening to people like Joyce Meyer, Mike Pilavachi, Judah Smith, Joseph Prince and etc. It is everything you could have imagined about Hillsong, and more!

As full on as the conference was, we managed to escape the hectic schedule and get some sight-seeing and A WHOLE LOT of eating done. :P

Hmm...How would I describe Sydney (oh, and it's my first time there. I have a feeling it won't be my last. :D )? Sydney is...uhm...crowded enough to make you realise that it's a big city and yet organised enough to not come across as being too congested. It's old majestic sandstone buildings and gleaming new skyscrapers. It's polluted air, dirty and grafitti-filled and yet lovely enough to make people forget about all that(You'd have to admit, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge is just stunning pieces of architecture). I find that people aren't as friendly or courteous in Sydney. I guess that's the common trend in all big cities. I guess people in big cities are just too busy to be nice and I highly am opposed against this idea. This deserves a whole blog entry on its own but that's for another day. Oh, just in case you don't know the people in those pics, there was Kah Wei, Ian Chee, Aaron Tan, Alice Tee and myself. Anyway, here's Sydney(well, at least according to my pictures)!

The new Apple centre in Sydney - the 2nd biggest in the world.

I've heard about Jesus and 'doughnuts'...but this is new...

Ian and Kah Wei, thanks heaps for letting us stay at your place. :) So, yea, that's my winter break summed up in pictures for you. One week of Tassie and one week of Sydney("Ouch!", screams my wallet). I couldn't have asked for a better break. :) Now, onward mighty man of valor to your second semester of your second year of Uni!
