I'm so BLESSED...
I'm one ungrateful fella...
The other night after CF, I was at a friend, Dyan's place for a quick supper. We started chatting...and I found out the craziest thing. I knew she was from Penang, but I didn't know that she was staying right opposite me at GOLD COAST!!! And my current housemate Daniel stays at BJ court...The world is freakishly small !!!
Anyway, that is not the main reason why I'm updating... While at Dyan's place, she was telling me how lucky I was to have found the place that I'm staying at right now (which is directly opposite her's)... she was telling me how much trouble she had when she first came...running all around searching for a place to stay and buying furniture and living one year without Internet access at home etc...
Let me tell you how I got my place... Before coming here, I applied to the University for on-campus accomodation... I applied in late December(which is considered quite late)... and until DAYS before I left Penang, I still had no word from the Uni concerning my accomodation... I was obviously worried ! And I think it was 3 days before I left Penang, a friend, Shaun, who's my mum's colleague's son and a childhood friend called up from Tasmania, telling me a place right opposite his place just vacated as the person who was staying there is leaving for Melbourne to do his phD on Saturday(I was to arrive on Monday). The rent for the place is also relatively MUCH cheaper than other places and it's fully furnished, has Internet access etc etc... and that it's just 10 min away from my Uni by foot! And having a housemate, who has the same name and from the same place is an added BONUS! I actually have a LITTLE PENANG around me as there are nearly five people from Penang staying around the neighbourhood...hehe... I was ELATED!!! If this isn't God's perfect timing and planning for me, I don't know what is... :-)
It just goes to show that wherever life takes you to, you can always...no CERTAINLY count on Him see you through. I think circumstances in our lives are like window panes. Once you've gone through that initial ordeal and see beyond your circumstances, you'll begin to see the big picture and realise that all your initial worries and circumstances are just a minute part of the whole plan that God has elaborately planned out for you. Aren't we of more worth to God than birds and flowers??? (Matt 6:25-34)
So I guess we should NEVER EVER take things forgranted... It's about trusting, not doubting. Being grateful, not spiteful.
I shall leave you with a few pics I took in beautiful Tassie... ;-)
