Do You see me as anything more than just a servant in Your house?
Do You hear me only through the praises I lavish You with?
Do You touch me only when my emotions are running wild and high?
And, do You feel me when I'm not feeling You?

I see myself in a desert, when all that's within me feels dry.
I hear myself screaming in silence, as I play along with life's charade.
I reach out my hands to grasp hold of something which so easily slips away.
And, I want to have faith and not just the feeling of it.

Where are You when the music and hype is stripped away?
Are You more than what those celebrity pastors preach about?
Where are You when no one's there looking out for me?
Are You more
than the sights I see,
the noises I hear,
the feelings I feel,
the songs I sing,
the sermons on Sundays,
and the friends around me?

Help me to believe again,
with child-like faith,
not with a childish one.
