Uncle Daniel...

On the 1st of August 2007 at precisely 11:15pm, I became an uncle to the newest addition to my family - TITUS TEOH CHENG JIN! He was born in Thomson Medical Centre, Singapore to the very proud parents, Teoh Soon Hup (my brother)and Chia Mei Ling (my sis-in-law).

This makes my brother a dad, my parents, grandparents and of course, I, an uncle!

Titus means "honorouble", while "Cheng" means "sincere or truthful" and "Jin" means "respectful" in Mandarin. So, this baby has got to be the most honourable man when he grows up if not his uncle will smack his butt! ;-)

My parents jumped on an express bus down to Singapore once my brother told them of the news. How I wish I could be back there to share the joy too.

It is really really exciting to become an uncle, but at the same time weird too. It's weird to have like a junior version of my brother. But oh well, I guess 31 is a ripe old age to become a dad.

Now there is one more reason for me to be excited to go home at the end of this year! Too bad my little nephew won't be able to call me "uncle" yet... :( But nonetheless, I can't wait to see you baby Titus!
