i'm officially FRIENDLY and ENERGETIC!!!!
muahaha....that's according to yan-y and hui jen who went to evaluate me...they both concluded that i'm friendly and energetic....lol...and i REALLY APPRECIATE all ur kind thoughts...thank you....and i think both of u are friendly and energetic too.. ;-)
yeah...so me n a few others(leroy, skhoo, skhor, jud n ju) went on a lil excursion to GBC today.... it was nice...GBC was similar to our church in many ways...at least i did not have a culture shock or anything..hehe...met up with a few good buddies there.. jia ren..who was my cf vice pres in chung ling...he has helped me out so much.. i wouldn't ask for a better person to lead alongside me in the cf last time.. he has been a really good fren to me... skhor pls tell him that i said all of these as and ode to him!!!.. i also met aaron liew there..who's now my coll mate..he n jud were from the same sch wan...haha...he's also another nice guy worth a mention..truly a godly person..and not to mention a very funny guy...he seriously make coll life less stressful for me...hehe..*sluuurrrpp*.....had a good time there. after that we went out for lunch at gurney f'court..
and now...the biggest piece of news that i have to offer... i'm joining the World Choir Olympics this year...in July at Xiamen, China!!!!... i think esther lim once took part in it a few years back... i'm going under this choir named" fingerprints" under the instuction of mak chi hoe...he's a superb conductor... and the choir is even more superb-er...i think 60-70% of the ppl have all gone thru vocal training wan..so YES i do feel abit inferior... we're doing 4 insanely tough and super NICE songs... 1.i shall find rest 2. rytmus(latin) 3.stabat mater(dunno wat language also) 4. dayung sampan.....i love the challenge of singing in a gr8 choir... it's like under my list of "things to do b4 i die" kinda thing... i've loved singing in choirs ever since i was in primary sch... but like most things there is an opportunity cost involved... i would have to sacrifice time and energy to prac those songs..not to mention i would have to fork out my own $ to fly to xiamen...
and..............this year is an important year for me too...since i'm doin this one-year pre-u programme..there is a mid year exam in june...and lots of lil lil class tests which are equally as important...not forgetting the final big one in november.. alot of my future study options depend on how well i do...so yea..with this choir thingy..i would have to juggle more balls on my hands to make ends meet... so i'm reshuffling and prioritizing my time shchedule now... so....... i'm afraid time has come for me to slowly give up leading cell group...i've been in there for a really long time...and i think it's time the younger ones take the lead..when i was in cell group years ago, all my seniors passed over their lead then they were bout 17-18 yrs like that...i jz dun understand y i can't do the same.. most ppl around my age have passed over their baton to younger ones, except me.. and honestly it gets REALLY tiring n mundane to consistently lead cell group...it takes alot out of you after a long time.. and i'm really sorry but i think it's time that i pass the reigns to others...i hoped that in the 2 or more yrs of leading cell, i've been a blessing to ephraim..i've done my best..n i hope ephraim will forgive me for anything i've done wrong to offend them...and i wouldn't have done anything without the help of leroy as my asst.leader...thx roy!!!
so yea..jz a notice in advance...take care guys.!!!...countdown to spm results: 7 days...( like "The Ring" lidat...) god bless u guys!!!!
